Vietnam Estimated to Import US$9.51B Machines, Equipment in Jan-Oct

Vietnam is estimated to spend US$9.514 billion on importing machines and equipment in the first ten months of this year, down 13% from a year earlier.
 
The figure accounts for 17.26% of the country’s total import value during the period, the General Statistics Office (GSO) said.
 
In October, Vietnam imports $1.15 billion worth of the products, up 10.68% on-month, the GSO estimated.
 
During Jan-Oct, the country is estimated to have earned $1.538 billion from exported machines and equipment, down 0.4% on-year, including $180 million in October, down 6.73% on-month.
