World Exchange Federation Admits Vietnam Exchange

The World Federation of Exchanges (WEF), the Paris-based association of 53 regulated exchanges around the world, approved the membership of the Hochiminh Stock Exchange (HOSE) at the 49^th General Assembly and Annual Meeting in Vancouver on Oct. 5.

The name of HOSE can now be searched on the website http://www.world-exchanges.org/member-exchanges/correspondents..

The event marks the great efforts of the Vietnam exchange in developing itself and integrating into the world market, the HOSE said.

WEF market operators are responsible for the functioning of key components in the financial world. WFE exchanges are home to about 46,000 listed companies as of July 31. (HSX)
