Scandinavia Countries Protest Anti-dumping Duties on China, Vietnam Shoes
The Scandinavia countries all agreed to remove anti-dumping taxes on leather shoes originated from Vietnam and China, according to a source from Fashionunited.com.
Earlier the European Commission (EC) proposed extending by 15 months the anti-dumping taxes of 16.5% and 10% on shoes originated from China and Vietnam, respectively.
The Netherlands and Germany said that the commercial penalty will limit choice of consumers and increase prices of shoes.
However, the imposition will depend on votes of countries which have not yet given clear opinion on the matter such as Austria, Malta, Cyprus, France and Eastern European nations. (Liberated Saigon)
