Investors Pledges to Pour US$308.9M into Central Vietnam Province

Investors committed to inject VND5.52 trillion (US$308.9 million) into 14 projects in the Central Highlands province of Gia Lai at an investment promotion forum.
 
The forum, held on November 13 within the framework of Gia Lai’s first international gong festival taking place on November 12-15, attracted 300 businesses nationwide.
 
Among those, the biggest project is worth VND1.17 trillion to grow 18,000 hectares of rubber by the Vietnam Rubber Group (VRG), a VND300-billion magnetite production plant by the Vietnam National Coal-Mineral Industries Group (Vinacomin) and a VND200-billion water supply plant by Tuan Loc Ltd. Co.
 
At the conference, provincial authorities also granted investment certificates for 12 projects valued at VND2.32 trillion.
 
The province also introduced a list of 53 projects to call for both local and foreign investment worth VND11.2 trillion at the event. (Vietnam Economic Times)
