International donors will likely pledge US$5.07 billion in official development assistance (ODA) for Vietnam for 2010 at the Consultative Group (CG) Meeting this year, the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI) said.

Of the sum, the pledged aid by the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank and Japan will account for 70%-80%, according to the ministry.

Vietnam targets to disburse US$2.47 billion in ODA in 2010, up 30% against the set figure of US$1.9 billion in 2009.

The Southeast Asian has inked agreements valued at US$3.85 billion in ODA so far this year, and the figure for the whole year may reach US$5.05 billion.
