Vietnam’s economy may grow 6% next year, a high rate compared with global average growth, Managing Director, Citi Country Officer for Vietnam, Brett Krause said in a press release Nov 26.

The country will continue taking advantages on structure to attract investment, including political stability, low costs, comfortable demography factors, and structure reforms in the WTO integration process, he added.

But Brett Krause, however, stated that Vietnam has many things to do to bring the economic growth closer to the historical peak through improving the banking system or speeding up the reforms.

Earlier, the Ministry of Planning and Investment forecast that the country’s economy would expand at a pace of more than 6.8% in the fourth quarter, raising the annual growth to 5.2% this year. (Citi Bank Release)
