Vietnam’s Rubber Export Down 32.4% to US$1.086B in Jan-Nov

Vietnam have notched up US$1.086 billion from exporting 637,000 tons of rubber in the first eleven months of 2009, down 32.4% in value despite an increase of 8.6% in volume against a year earlier, the government’s General Statistics Office said.
 
In Nov, the country earned US$156 million from exporting 80,000 tons of rubber, up from US$140 million from 76,000 tons in Oct.
 
The Vietnam Rubber Association forecast that the country will export a total of 650,000 tons valued at US$1.1 billion this year. (GSO Nov Edition)
