Vietnam to Host World Economic Forum on East Asia 2010
Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai has approved hosting the World Economic Forum (WEF) on the East Asia in Ho Chi Minh City on June 6-7, 2010 the government said on its website.
The Deputy Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and concerned agencies to negotiate with WEF to sign memorandum of understanding.
This year, WEF selects Vietnam as one of “Typical nations” in process of economic recovery.
At the forum slated for next year, countries around the world are expected to reach a consensus on development plans in the post-crisis period.
The WEF on the East Asia is held annually to boost economic and trade ties among countries in the East Asia and the world. (chinhphu.vn)
