Hanoi Pledged FDI Down 83.3% at US$700M This Year

Vietnam’s capital city of Hanoi estimates to attract a total pledged foreign direct investment (FDI) of US$700 million this year, down 83.7% from a year earlier.
 
Between January and November, the city licensed 248 projects totaling US$187.75 million and allowed 33 existing projects to add US$251.42 million, Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Planning and Investment Nguyen Van Tu said.
 
During the period, the city disbursed US$600 million in FDI, Tu added.
