VCCI Joins Hands to Boost IT Applications

The Institute of Information Technology for Business (ITB) under the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) has recently signed agreements with Departments of Information and Communication of Hanoi, Thai Nguyen, Yen Bai, Bac Giang, Quang Ngai, Phu Yen, Tra Vinh, An Giang, Dong Nai, Ninh Thuan provinces, OSB Technology and Investment Joint Stock Company and Alibaba.com in Hanoi.

 

The signing with the Departments of Information and Communication is aimed to expand cooperative programmes in the coming time, promote IT applications among enterprises.

 

The main contents include implementing Project 191 in 2010 in accordance with the requirements and aspirations of enterprises, building and developing e-commerce portals for local businesses, supporting copyrighted software, and promoting the application of free open source software in the localities.

 

With Alibaba.com and OSB Company, VCCI signed cooperative agreements to implement the “Supporting Vietnamese businesses to export to APEC and African markets through e-commerce” programme.

 

The above agreements are part of the national “supporting enterprises to apply IT to serve integration and development in the 2005-2010 period” project that the Government of Vietnam assigned VCCI to carry out.
