Vietnam Jan-Nov Exports to Hong Kong Rise 10.5% to US$901M

Vietnam fetched US$901 million from exported goods to Hong Kong in the first eleven months of 2009, up 10.5% from a year earlier.
 
In November, the country’s exports to Hong Kong were US$107.3 million, down 0.2% on-month but up 49.8% on-year, the Ministry of Industry and Trade said.
 
During the eleven-month period, Vietnam’s export staples to Hong Kong were computers and electronics, machinery and equipment and seafood with respective figures of US$122.59 million, US$103.7 million and US$70.6 million.
 
The two-way trade surged 23.1% on-year to US$3.75 billion, including Vietnam’s trade deficit of US$1.76 billion. (vinanet)
