U.S. Takes Lead in Importing Vietnam Woodworks

The U.S. was the biggest importer of Vietnamese woodworks with total revenues of US$113.9 million in the first month of this year, up 64.01% a year earlier and accounting for 11.3% of Vietnam’s total woodwork export revenues, the Ministry of Industry and Trade said.

The ministry said that Vietnamese companies exported US$286.84 million worth of woodworks to 37 main countries and territories worldwide in Jan 2010, an increase of 40.3% from a year earlier.

Japan came second with revenues of US$36.61 million, up 28.51% on year.

China came third with import revenue of US$21.76 million, up 627.53% on year.
