Foreign Investors Still Eye Vietnam: Vina Capital CEO
Foreign investors “will continue to invest in emerging markets such as Vietnam”, Don Lam, CEO of Vina Capital showed his confidence without elaborating.
Lam expected Vietnam economy to grow stably this year and said that his fund has been investing in stocks of health care, financial service, education and agriculture.
Lam said that Vina Capital has many importance ideas in property market and plans to set up a new property investment fund independent with VinaLand. The new fund is calling for investment from institutional investors and will not be listed, Lam shared.
VinaCapital is the only fund managing company voted as “the Best Fund House” by Asia Asset Management magazine on March 11.
Foreigners were net buyer of VND2.7 trillion of Vietnamese stocks in 2009 and VND1.8 trillion year to date, the HOSE’ figures showed. (Securities Investment)
