Vietnam Petroleum Exports Up 32.8% to US$406M in Jan-April
Vietnam is estimated to have exported US$406 million worth of 617,000 metric tons of petroleum products in the first four months of this year, up 32.8% from a year earlier in value but down 16.8% in volume, the General Statistics Office (GSO) said.
In the month the country is estimated to have shipped abroad 170,000 metric ton of the products valued at US$115 million, a rise of 4.94% on-month in volume and 7.48% in value, the GSO said.
The slight rise in the exports of petroleum products was attributed to the fact that Vietnam’s first oil refinery Dung Quat has been running at full capacity since Feb 16 and has to date produced 2.9 million tons of products. (GSO April 2010)
