Saigon Tex 2010 Opens in HCMC

With the purpose of creating favourable conditions for Vietnamese textile and apparel companies to have the opportunity to visit, learn and purchase advanced equipment made by developed industrialised countries, the state-owned Vietnam National Textile and Garment Group (Vinatex) collaborated with the Vietnam Apparel and Textile Association (Vitas), VCCI Exhibition Service Co., Ltd and Hong Kong Exhibition Company to recently organise the “Garment and Textile Equipment and Accessories Exhibition 2010 (Saigon Tex 2010) in the Tan Binh Exhibition and Trade Fair Centre, Ho Chi Minh City.
 
This is the 20th time the Saigon Tex was held in Vietnam. The expo drew the participation of 240 apparel and textile equipment manufacturers from 25 countries and territories like Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Switzerland, he USA, India, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, China and Taiwan.
 
Saigon Tex 2010 was a great opportunity for Vietnamese garment and textile companies to visit and explore new textile technologies, equipment and spare parts for production expansion, seek out new sources of materials, etc. This was also a good opportunity to strengthen partnerships and business ties with domestic and foreign garment and textile enterprises.
