VCCI, Daiwa to Help Improve Vietnamese Firms Competitiveness
The Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and Daiwa Capital Markets Company will work together to help Vietnamese companies to restructure and improve their competitiveness.
A memorandum of understanding to this effect was signed by VCCI Vice Chairman Hoang Van Dung and Managing Director of Daiwa, Yuichi Akai, in Hanoi on April 28.
The two sides will focus on helping local businesses in share sales, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), corporate restructuring, enhancing financial management and business administration capacity.
Akai said Daiwa is strong at M&A, corporate restructuring and improving financial management and business administration so Vietnamese businesses should cooperate with it in these areas.
Daiwa will act as a bridge for Japanese investment in Vietnam, Akai noted.
