Vietnam, Laos Provinces Approve VND130B Border Gate EZ Project
The Vietnamese province of Ha Tinh and the Lao province of Bolikhamxay have agreed on a VND130-bililon project to build infrastructure systems between Cau Treo and Nampao border gate economic zones (EZ).
The 23.5-ha project includes an administrative area, a trade and cultural complex and a road to connect the two EZs and National Highway 8A. The authority of Cau Treo border gate EZ will be the project’s investor.
Under the Vietnamese Ministry of Finance’s decision, materials, equipment and unfinished products imported for production at the EZ has been exempted from taxes for the five years starting from March 1. (Investment)
