Vietnam Province Reports 102 Valid FDI Projects Worth US$13.25B

Vietnam’s southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau has reported 102 valid foreign direct investment (FDI) projects totaling US$13.25 billion in its industrial parks (IPs) so far.
 
Between January and May, the local IPs attracted two FDI projects valued at US$163.13 million, one by Bovina Vietnam Company and the other by BJC Glass Vietnam. 
 
The province now has 11 IPs, ranking the 7th nationwide in the IP number behind Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Ho Chi Minh City, Long An, Hanoi and Bac Ninh.
 
Ba Ria-Vung Tau has to date licensed 274 FDI projects with a total pledged capital of US$26.3 billion but only US$4.7 billion of this, or 15.5% has been disbursed, state media reported.
