National Tour Guide Contest to Be Held in Hanoi

The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) plans to host a national excellent tour guide contest in Hanoi from August 12 to 14, 2010 with the aim of celebrating the 50^th founding anniversary of the tourism industry and the millennial anniversary of Thang Long – Hanoi.

 

Accordingly, VNAT will ask the provincial/municipal departments of culture, sports and tourism to organise contests or select excellent tour guides for the national contest in 2010.

 

This is an opportunity for tour guides to advance their careers while learning and exchanging experience with colleagues across the country to raise their professional levels and improve service quality for tourists. This is also the opportunity for the tourism industry to standardise tour guide training.
