On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Vietnamese tourism industry, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) coordinated with the Vietnam Tourism Association to hold a ceremony presenting “Vietnam Tourism Awards 2009” for well performing tourism businesses.
Seahorse Resort & Spa, located in Phan Thiet city, Binh Thuan province, was rated among the Top-10 four star hotels in Vietnam in 2009.
Speaking at the ceremony, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoang Tuan Anh said: “Honoured companies are like locomotives pushing other companies to perform better. If we hesitate now, we will miss the opportunities of the new phase. We are going through the end of the first decade of the 21st century. Surely, after another 10 years, Vietnamese tourism will have positive development and hospitability revenue will make 7-8 percent of the country’s GDP.”
The organisation board used selection criteria to determine the Top 10 of 94 four-star hotels in the country. The Seahorse Resort & Spa was named among the Top 10 four-star hotels in Vietnam in 2009, along with Ham Tien - Mui Ne Resort in Phan Thiet City, Binh Thuan Province.
