Green brand
The Green Day on September 12 is an initiative of Victoria Group applied to the entire Victoria hotel system across in Vietnam, including Victoria Sapa, in the past nine years. However, why is the Green Day mentioned by the media in recent time?
The clean and green hotel is a popular trend. Thus, our business motto “Be responsible to environment” is considered the top task for all staffs in the Victoria system worldwide.

Activities and initiatives help the hotel to be friendlier to the environment. We have reduced wastes, carbon emissions, chemicals and water, etc. We build "green and clean" criteria to orient our everyday activities: Economising energy; rationally using water sources and treating wastewater; separating wastes, reducing gas emissions; implementing environmental policies.

With these five criteria, the hotel has implemented many activities like maintaining electrical devices, replacing energy-consuming equipment, using power-conserving devices, etc. In particular, the hotel has minimised using plastic products and replaced them with environmentally friendly products made from bamboo, rush, hyacinth, etc.

On the Green Day, all staffs and guests are encouraged to take part in cleansing activities. This is one of our activities to create a green hotel. For Victoria Sapa, the effect of the programme is the most important, not media activities but without practical outcomes. Thus, in initial years, many thought our Green Day is a government campaign or an activity of non-government organisation.
