Inspiring Businesses to Pursue Sustainable Development

The third National Conference on Sustainable Development is scheduled to open on December 20, 2010 to review and evaluate results in the five-year implementation of the Sustainable Development Strategy Orientation in Vietnam and discuss and approve the draft Sustainable Development Strategy Framework for the period from 2011 to 2020.

 

Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan chaired the meeting.

 

On this occasion, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) hosted the Business Forum for the Sustainable Development on December 17, 2010 in Hanoi, aiming to evaluate the role of enterprises in implementing Sustainable Development in Vietnam and put forth recommendations to strengthen the participation of enterprises in implementing sustainable development goals. The forum was an opportunity for VCCI and the business community to introduce the Vietnam Business Council for Sustainable Development (VBCSD).
