As one of the first producers of plastic paints made by Indonesian technology, Synthentic Thermoplastic Road Marking Paints Co., Ltd specialises in manufacturing guardrail products, traffic signs, construction equipment, lighting system, and reflective paints. The company has a broad market and it is still being expanded.

Mr Pham Dinh Nhuong, Director of Synthentic Thermoplastic Road Marking Paints Co., Ltd, is an experienced business manager. When he retired, he still wanted to devote himself to society. As he knew that Vietnam actually had a high demand for road marking paints, lighting systems and traffic signs, he sent his son to foreign countries to learn thermoplastic paint processing technologies.

After acquiring needed technologies, he and his son established Synthentic Thermoplastic Road Marking Paints Co., Ltd to manufacture thermoplastic paints for traffic and other industries. Located in Nam Yen Bai Industrial Park in Van Tien Commune, Yen Bai City, this is one of the first units in northern Vietnam and a few in Vietnam as a whole to manufacturing thermoplastic paints. To date, the company has asserted its name in both domestic and foreign markets.

With a good perception of market demand, the company has rapidly expanded its operational scale. At present, it is employing more than 50 workers with an average month income of VND3.5 million. In 2009, its revenues soared to over VND60 billion and paid over VND2 billion to the State Budget. In 2010, its sales reached nearly VND60 billion and tax payments amounted to nearly VND3 billion. With its solid and steady progress, the company has contributed to local socioeconomic development and job creation.

In addition to technical improvements and cost savings, the company always pays special attention to product quality. In the past years, it has conducted research on applying additives during production to cut costs. It has also purchased equipment to manufacture additives to reduce reliance on foreign materials.

The company also attaches much importance to the living conditions of its employees. All full-time employees are insured, as provided by the Labour Code. It also sends its employees to attend training courses to foster their working skills and knowledge. It also applies emulative programmes to strengthen the loyalty and responsibility to the company.
