Vinh Loc, a small rural district comprising of 16 communes, towns and 131 villages, currently possesses 147 historical and cultural relics and scenic spots.

Xuan Dai Mountain is possibly the most beautiful in Vietnam. At the foothills, Thong Cavern and temple is recognized as a national relic. After visiting Du Anh Temple, tourists can go to see the Phung Khac Khoan stele, 2.5 m high and with all 4 sides covered with ancient Chinese characters. A walk to mid mountain brings you to see Ho Cong Cavern. Right at the cavern gate, you have the chance to see a flat stone engraved with 4 letters “Thanh Ky Kha Ai”. On the cavern walls, you can still see Chinese poems composed by kings and poets, praising the beauty of the cavern.

Going west 5 km from Thong Cavern and temple, tourists see a famous rocky wall and the relics related to the building of the wall, worship sites, remnants from fighting against Champa and the Binh Khuong Temple commemorating the woman who smashed her head against stone to exonerate her husband Cong Sinh Tran. Near Binh Khuong is the Dong Mon Temple relic, with unique architecture. Around the stone, the tourists can visit Duc Tuong Mountain, Eo Van, Tu Linh, Nang Cave where Tran Thieu De Kinh was jailed, My Dam Lake dug by soldiers from the Ho Dynasty. Tourists can visit Tam Tong Temple and then go to Tran Khat Chan Temple to worship Tran Khat Chan and 6 generals (Pham Ong Thien, Ha Duc Lan, Luong Nguyen Buu, Pham Nguu Tat, Pham Kha Vinh, and Tu Quoc Tran Nhat Don). From Tran Khat Chan Temple, go south to Dun Mountain to visit archaeological relics like the Nam Giao ceremony forum. In Vinh Loc District, there are still many historical relics of Trinh Kinh times such as Phu Trinh, Nghe Vet, Triet Vuong Trinh Tung tomb, and Bao An Temple.

To develop tourism in the future, the district needs to pay due attention to the construction and investment of its tourism economy as part of Thanh Hoa tourism master planning to 2020. It is important to promote restoration, renovation and socialization. Focus should be placed on training tourist guides in key tourist sites. Especially, encouragement and favourable conditions should be given for the construction of hotels, motels and services designed for tourists.
