Mr Isamu Aono, Managing director of Yamazen Vietnam said that Yamazen is a Japanese leading trading company specialized for machinery and tools listed on the Tokyo and Osaka first-class stock markets. Running a worldwide network, the company can also conduct applications, installation, spare parts supply and after-sale service with the mind of customer satisfaction. Yamazen Vietnam, We’ve got about 450 customers. Of them, 70 per cent are from Japan.
I think ”Except food and raw materials, Vietnam’s export business is heavily dominated by foreign enterprises. Vietnam has many good conditions such as young employees, labour costs lower than in some other countries. Therefore, we believe that Vietnam already becomes one of the most the attractive destinations for many foreign enterprises. Many years ago, China was a very country to run and develop a business. But everything has changed. We prefer to choose Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam in stead of China for many reasons”.
At the present various Japanese companies and experts have urged Vietnam to strengthen the country’s supporting industries. “Vietnam should focus on and develop its supporting industries immediately. Currently, many foreign enterprises or Japanese enterprises like Panasonic, Samsung, Honda really want to reduce the amount of imports from overseas because cost for import is really a problem. We expect in the future Vietnam could produce every product including equipment or spare parts by itself”, said Mr Isamu Aono.
“Vietnam’s export business is heavily dominated by foreign enterprises. Vietnam has many good conditions such as young employees, labour costs lower than in some other countries. Our engineers are all Vietnamese and we do not intend to employ any Japanese engineers in Vietnam because we believe that Vietnamese engineers are very smart.”
Therefore, Yamazen believe that Vietnam already becomes one of the most the attractive destinations for many foreign enterprises. Many years ago, China was a very country to run and develop a business. But everything has changed. Yamazen prefer to choose Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam in stead of China for many reasons.
For my overview Vietnam’s supporting industries now is growing up and after the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) takes full effect in 2015 Vietnam’s supporting industries besides many advantages, AEC also creates some challenges to Vietnam’s supporting industries. For example, competing on prices and cost affects Vietnamese enterprises so much. Therefore, Vietnamese companies need to try their best, together with many efforts from the government, to firmly push the industries. Japan in the past also faced the same problem but thanks to assistance and efforts from many Japanese organizations like the Japan External Trade Organization and Japan International Cooperation Agency, we overcame the difficult period of economics and finance.
For Yamazen, After AEC, Yamazen will face many difficulties in sales and approaching our customers. Yamazen have to compete with other brand names on prices and quality of services. Therefore we now need to enhance our quality of service in order to satisfy every kind of customers. So this year we keep continue to exhibit and join the machine tools and metalworking technology trade exhibition Metalex Vietnam 2013 in Ho Chi Minh City on October 10-12. It is one marketing strategy, Yamazen will bring many types of highlighted machines of Yamazen. For instance, CNC machine is a product of Brother, Okuma lathe machine from Taiwan and a mass of eco-products.
“We did join another exhibition before we joined Metalex. We really appreciate Metalex because they can meet our demands. All we need is looking for more and more customers and Metalex brings more customers to us and we feel really satisfied”.

In 2003-2006, Yamazen Singapore had a representative office in Hanoi. From 2006 to April 2010, Yamazen Thailand was the representative. After that, Yamazen Vietnam Company started operations to meet rapid growth of customer demands in Vietnam. It currently runs two information offices in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. |
