Phu Loc Tuynel Brick Factory Adopting High Technology

In recent years, due to difficulties of the world economy, inflation and the tightening of credit policy, rising input costs, shrinking market, particularly the frozen real estate market so the businesses in auxiliaries such as tuynel brick, iron, steel and cement have faced with a lot of difficulties; many of them are moderately operating or stop production and a number of investment projects must stop or need extension. But the Phu Loc tuynel brick plant of the Quang Trung Co., Ltd is not only to maintain but also to ensure jobs and steady income for workers. In the first 2 years, the plant produced more than 60 million bricks, reaching a turnover of over VND50 billion. The brick-manufacturing model is based on the tuynel technology and first used in the Phu Luong district, contributing to 150 jobs for the local and neighbourhood workers and offering VND 2.7 million salary per person per month.

 

To achieve the above results, despite the difficulties of the economy, especially the construction project paused now, the plant has equipped itself with favourable transportation and appropriate strategies, creative and sensible leadership of the management board, dynamism and initiatives in expanding the market to the neighbouring provinces such as Bac Kan, Cao Bang and Tuyen Quang, and in particular, the individual customers. Besides, the Phu Loc tuynel brick plant is adopting the tunnel kiln for production, which includes two brick kilns and dryer placed parallel to each other. The production line is automatically controlled with capacity of 40 million of bricks per year, which helps to save fuel, reduce direct labour at some stages and improve the environment.

 

Besides intensive investment in standard equipments and technologies, the company always recognizes human resources as key factors of the company's successes. Therefore, at the beginning of its establishment, the company has focused on building a simple but intensive organizational structure. In particular, the investment is focused on training for employees to improve the professions and skills of management and technical staff, as well as to enhance the level of skills of workers at each stage of the production line. According to Nghiem Sy Dat, Director of Phu Loc tuynel brick factory, said: "To operate the tuynel brick production line effectively under an advanced and standard technology, the training for employees play a very important role for the survival of the company." Also the factory always comply with the responsibilities and obligations to employees, such as health insurance, social security, unemployment insurance, and guarantee for living conditions of workers and employees, and other appraisals including allowances, bonuses and supports for the employees under tough living standards.
