Emirates, during Arsenal’s friendly tour to Vietnam, reached out to the team’s young fans in Vietnam by holding a Children’s Clinic with Arsenal’s first-team players at Tay Ho football pitch, Hanoi, before the club’s first friendly at My Dinh stadium as a part of the Arsenal Asia Tour 2013.

Over 60 children, aged between nine and 14 years-old were given a football master class by Arsenal players including Olivier Giroud, Alex Oxlade Chamberlain, Aaron Ramsey, Tomas Rosicky, Theo Walcott and Jack Wilshere.

“Coaching sessions encourage the development of young players, while meeting a footballer idolised by millions can have an incredible impact on children, both on a sporting and personal level. I hope that we have given them a positive experience for their development and in some way helped the growth of football in the region,” said Mr Terry Flynn, Emirates’ Country Manager Vietnam.

“We have had a great time interacting with the children here in Hanoi, we hope that they have picked up a few tips and we really appreciate the effort by Emirates in helping us reach out to them during this leg of the Arsenal Asia Tour,” said Theo Walcott, an Arsenal player.

Emirates and Arsenal started their journey together in 2005 and the aim has always been to bring Arsenal closer to its millions of loyal fans across the six continents to which that Emirates flies.
