Vietnam Apatite Limited Company: Contributing to Local Socio-economic Development

As a major company with more than 3,000 employees and annual investment capital of VND2,000 billion, Vietnam Apatite cannot avoid adverse impacts of ongoing economic recession. Being fully aware of the general difficulty, strongly determined to maintain employment and livelihood for employees, and wisely utilise State resources, the company’s management board quickly has measures to live through difficulties and challenges. Like many other businesses, Vietnam Apatite always bases on the market to make reasonable, realistic, appropriate adjustments for specific phases. The company’s management has thoroughly consolidated internal governance and identified overall targets, that is to say, Discipline - Productivity - Quality - Efficiency, applied by all the staff. Vietnam Apatite’s customer strategy is interlinking the interests of the company and customers, being willing to share and support at both favourable and rough times, and strengthening interactions of interest-sharing partners. In any circumstance, the management board and the staff are always unanimous to pass through. Despite economic downturn, Vietnam Apatite always ensures stable employment and income for employees and ensures increasing annual revenue and profit for the company. Vietnam Apatite is a top taxpayer in Lao Cai province. In the year to July 28, Vietnam Apatite paid VND148 billion to the State Budget, VND29 billion higher than the target provided by the Vietnam Chemical Group, and equal to 63 percent of the full-year objective in 2013. The increase in contributions to the State Budget come from higher production value of VND1,567 billion, up 32 percent over the same period in 2012, and revenue of VND1,514 billion.

 

Connecting with the community is an overall policy of the company since its operation in Lao Cai province more than 50 years ago. The local government, people and businesses are a united, helping and sharing unit. For its part, Vietnam Apatite actively participates in community development programmes initiated by the local government and organisations (Provincial Party Committee, the Fatherland Front). The company is named a leader in community and social security activities in Lao Cai province.
