Not only bringing people more opportunities for cheaper travel, the second Vietnam International Travel Mart (VITM 2014) helped boost tourism market development in Vietnam. This is also an opportunity to advertise and promote tourism in a very effective way, as small businesses and localities cannot promote their enormous tourism development in different places because of limited financial resources.
Mr Kang Sungghil, Chief Representative of the Korea Tourism Organisation, said the mart offered a chance for South Korea to introduce its beautiful landscapes and tourism services to Vietnamese partners and consumers. He hoped that events like VITM 2014, with 78 booths registered by South Korea, will be organised more frequently in Vietnam to provide information for enterprises and consumers.
Mr Sudo Shintaro, CEO of HIS Song Han Vietnam Travel Ltd, said not only showcasing products, VITM 2014, like other exhibitions, fitted the demand of both businesses and visitors alike. This was an opportunity to meet and interact with trusted tourism companies in Vietnam and in the world. Through the mart, HIS - Song Han Vietnam will connect with other firms to build attractive tourism products for different markets and different customers.
Bao Khanh, Deputy Head of Business Planning and Investment Department, Thua Thien - Hue province-based Huong Giang Travel Joint Stock Company, said, the company received a lot of domestic and foreign customers. Partners expressed their great interest in Huong Giang, especially in My An hot water spring or Bach Ma National Park.
Speaking about interactions with customers, Pham Tien Dung, CEO of Golden Tours & Convention said, this was the biggest tourism event in Hanoi which has all enough information about tourism companies and service partners. Visitors had an overall view of tourism. They had an overall view of tourism products offered by travel companies to choose the best ones. Golden Tour & Convention was honoured to have the best booth design as well as Top 5 seller of Malaysia. Golden Tours & Convention will launch many attractive products in this summer.
With over 500 stores, including 154 for foreign exhibitors from 22 countries and territories, and over 660 representatives from tourism companies and officials, VITM 2014 was the biggest tourism fair in the country. The mart provided an opportunity for domestic and foreign enterprises to meet, exchange information and services. This was also a chance for cheap tourism for the people, said Le Tuan Anh, Director of the Market Department, Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT).
