Long Hai Security Services Joint Stock Companywas founded, licensed and registered on September 6, 1995 - the first licensed security Services Company in Ho Chi Minh City. The company’s founder and General Director was Major General Phan Van Xoan, formerly commander-in-chief of the Ministry of the Interior’s internal security division, who for more than 40 years had the responsibility of Vietnam’s leaders including President Ho Chi Minh.
In December, 2009 Long Hai became a joint venture Joint Stock company with investment from Securitas AB, a worldwide knowledge leader in security services which began in Sweden in 1934. Securitas now has more than 310,000 employees in 52 countries. Like Long Hai, the famous (since 1850) American security consulting and investigation company, Pinkerton, is also “A Securitas company”.
Long Hai protects homes, workplaces and the community, following the Securitas core values of Integrity, Vigilance and Helpfulness. It has more than 2,000 full-time security personnel throughout Vietnam, who have all completed and successfully passed Long Hai Security's minimum training course and are certified (“Professional Security Certificate”) by the Ministry of Public Security (police). The company operates nationally, not only in Ho Chi Minh City but also in the cities of Hanoi (Vietnam’s capital), Danang, Can Tho, and Haiphong as well as in other provinces including Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Bac Ninh, Ha Nam, Dong Nai, Long An, Binh Duong, Hai Duong, Dong Thap and Tien Giang.
Being “Vietnam’s No. 1 Security Professionals” has always been the company’s goal, which is why its 200 clients are mainly MNCs, including factories and distribution centres specialising in FMCG, agricultural products and high-tech electronics; international logistics centres; 17 foreign banks in Vietnam; the only Australian international university; 11 Embassies and Consulates General; five foreign oil & gas companies; two major foreign 5-star hotels in Ho Chi Minh City; and four of the top Grade A office buildings in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.
Long Hai’s General Director, Mr Phan Nam, together with Deputy General Directors Mr Cu Hoang Nong and Mr Tran Anh Vinh Thinh, manages Long Hai’s day-to-day operations from its Ho Chi Minh City Head Office, supported by Ms Bui Thi Hoa, Sales Manager, and Mr Graham Potter, Director of Marketing & Business Development. The company’s largest Branch, in Hanoi, is managed by Director Mr Pham Quy and Deputy Directors Ms Le My Dung, Mr Pham Hai Son and Ms Nguyen Thi Lan Anh.
Long Hai’s “firsts” include being the first security company in Vietnam to offer 24-hour Remote Alarm Monitoring (CMS service), the first to offer Security Transportation (CIT service---Long Hai is the Vietnam representative of Brink’s Global Services), the first to obtain comprehensive corporate insurance (Professional Indemnity, Public Liability, Fidelity Guarantee, Product Liability and Armoured Car Insurance coverage), and the first to obtain ISO Certification (ISO 9001:2008 from SGS – UKAS).
Throughout the world, effective security now means the convergence and integration of Human Resources (trained guards) together with technology (CCTV Surveillance Cameras, Access Control, Intruder Alarms and Remote Video Monitoring). Long Hai now offers Mobile Patrol service and “Security Solutions” (combining guarding with electronic security systems and equipment) - using the global knowledge of Securitas to support Long Hai’s 20 years of local expertise and experience.
