Products made from coconut fibres are playing its more and more important role in the industry of coconut processing of Ben Tre province. For Hung Long Private Enterprise, these products have become its major exports.
Established in 2003 in Mo Cay Nam district, Ben Tre province, Hung Long Private Enterprise has now become one of most experienced companies in producing products from coconut. Coconut byproducts that seem worthless are made into utilizable and profitable goods namely coir nets, coir mats, products from coconut charcoals are favored in Korea, Malaysia, Dubai, etc.
The company’s products have stable quality and are highly appreciated by customers. Continuously diversifying products, Hung Long Private Enterprise has added coir mats into its major exports, recognised as typical product of Ben Tre in 2013. It is estimated that coir mat and rush mat will become major products for producing and exporting of Hung Long in 2014.
Hung Long Private Enterprise now has 2 branches and about 20 satellites, offering 50 stable jobs and over 1,000 seasonal jobs for local people. They are also keys for the company to stabilise materials and develop the export market share. Coconut could be made into various products, therefore Hung Long has renewed itself by expanding its scale to 3,500 squ. metres, renovating equipment, developing new products from coconut and finding a way to export them.
