Vedan Vietnam Offers Free Medical Check-up, Medicines to the Poor
To help the poor in remote areas in Dong Nai province with access to health examination and disease treatment, Vedan Vietnam Enterprise Corp Ltd coordinated with Taipei Veteran General Hospital (Taichung City, Taiwan) to provide free medical checks and medications for more than 1,600 poor people in Tan Phu, Trang Bom and Cam My districts (Dong Nai province) from August 6 to 8, 2014.
Mr Yang Kun Hsiang, Vice Chairman and CEO of Vedan Vietnam, said, although the programme was organised in remote areas where traffic access was quite difficult, all mission members were very happy because they all wanted to contribute to health protection for local people.
This is the third year Vedan Vietnam has organised this programme, which cost a total budget of VND1.6 billion and served over 1,600 people.
In the past three years, Vedan Vietnam treated nearly 5,000 poor patients in Dong Nai province.
