Tu San Gorge on Most Spectacular Landscape

Situated at the peak of Ma Pi Leng Mount at an altitude of 2,000 metres in three communes of Pai Lung, Pa Vi and Xin Cai in Meo Vac district, Ha Giang province, Tu San Gorge, above the Nho Que Tu River, 1.7 km long and 700-800 metres deep, was formed from the expansion of geological layers dated back more than 400 million years. This is the steepest canyon above a river in Vietnam. The canyon is considered the "most spectacular landscape" amid the extremely magnificent scenery of Ma Pi Leng - the core area of the rock plateau. This place is also expected to be recognised as the World Natural Heritage by the UNESCO after the documentation is completed.
