Japan Simplifies Visa Procedures for Vietnamese Tourists

The Embassy of Japan in Vietnam said Japan will simplify visa procedures for tourists from Vietnam. Accordingly, from November 20, 2014, Japan started a simplified application procedure for single tourist visas for Vietnamese nationals as part of efforts to further promote people-to-people exchanges between the two countries. Vietnamese individuals are eligible for applying for single tourist visas when they use package tours organised by Vietnamese travel agencies specified by the Japanese Embassy in Vietnam and Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City.

 

With this privilege, visa applicants will not need to submit previously required documents (like the proof of travelling payment capabilities, etc). This visa is not applicable to people visiting Japan without the purpose of travelling (going on business, visiting relatives and friends, etc). The maximum duration of stay per visit in Japan is 15 days.
