Building Int’l Passenger Port in Phu Quoc

The Prime Minister recently agreed in principle the investment for the construction of an international passenger terminal in Phu Quoc.

The PM assigned the Ministry of Transport to adjust the detailed planning of Mekong Delta seaports, including ports on Phu Quoc Island.

The PM assigned the Kien Giang Provincial People’s Committee to coordinate with the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Planning and Investment to decide the scale of the project and the capital needed from the State budget for the project.

The Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Planning and Investment and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment guided Kien Giang province to carry out mechanisms and policies on investment attraction for the project.
