CNG Vietnam, a manufacturer, transporter and distributor of compressed natural gas (CNG) set up eight years ago, always endeavours to build infrastructure to serve production and business development requirements and develop markets to realise its mission of "Bringing clean energy everywhere".
Efforts for production expansion capacity
The first CNG plant of CNG Vietnam, located in Phu My I Industrial Zone, Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province with an initial annual capacity of 30 million cubic metres (33,000 tonnes of LPG equivalent), started operations on September 3, 2008. The facility has been gradually expanded to meet growing demands of customers and reached a yearly capacity of 250 million cubic metres in 2015. To have this result, CNG Vietnam has ceaselessly built its infrastructures from production to distribution and expanded its customer networks in order to ensure sustainable and long-term development.

Besides, the company has focused on building up a highly qualified, experienced workforce to run modern machines and equipment and ensure strict safety requirements. Moreover, to ensure that production and business operations are closely and effectively managed and safety, quality and environment objectives are controlled, CNG Vietnam has consolidated the construction and application of integrated safety - quality - environment management systems based on international standards like ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2005, ISO 50001:2011 and OHSAS 18001:2007.

Not only focusing investment on production infrastructure, the company also regularly updates, completes and renovates technologies to improve the quality of sales and after-sales services to bring best utilities and highest satisfaction for customers. So far, CNG Vietnam has built a customer network in southern key economic areas, including Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Long An and Ho Chi Minh City. Its customers are engaged in different industries such as ceramic, steel, food, beverages and rubber. Specifically, CNG Vietnam also supplies gas for buses in Binh Duong province.

Based on its core businesses, accomplishments, Vietnam’s gas development strategies and market prospects, CNG Vietnam will strive to become a leading CNG supplier in Vietnam, take the lead in CNG technologies, hold the largest CNG market share and become a reputable brand in the country and the region.

Towards environment friendliness
CNG, or compressed natural gas, contains 85 - 95 percent of methane (CH4) extracted from natural gas fields, oil fields (associated gas) or factory gases (obtained from oil refineries), processed and compressed at a high pressure (200 to 250 bar) to store in special tanks and transported to consumers like residential apartments. Due to simple composition and easy processing, to remove toxic compounds such as SOx, NOx and CO2 and have no benzene and aromatic hydrocarbons, CNG does not emit toxic gases such as SO2, NO2 and CO when it is burned and produces no dust. Hence, using CNG instead of traditional fuels like coal and oil will help protect the environment and reduce costs.

The company uses advanced green, environment-friendly technologies for CNG production so as to raise efficiency, cut costs and minimise environmental impacts. CNG Vietnam also enhances the application of environmental management and energy management standards to production and business activities.

Mr Dang Van Vinh, General Director of CNG Vietnam, said, as the first CNG specialist company in Vietnam, CNG Vietnam understands the importance and pays attention to environmental protection. Therefore, with the slogan "Bringing clean energy everywhere," the company has confirmed the economic role and improved general living environment because it is a clean, competitive energy source. Currently, CNG Vietnam’s customers are using CNG and have plans to increase CNG use by replacing their current fuel facilities.
