Knauf Vietnam Selects J&J as Southern Gypsumboard Distributor
Knauf Vietnam Co., Ltd. recently introduced its Gypsumboard Distributor in Southern Vietnam – J & J Vietnam Joint Stock Company (J&J) - at Gem Centre, Ho Chi Minh City. Approximately 180 guests from gypsumboard distributors, contractors, architects and media came together to celebrate this special event with the Knauf Vietnam team.
Over the past 18 months Knauf Vietnam has set-up offices in Hanoi, Hai Phong and Ho Chi Minh City and it has been working on developing a distribution network throughout the country. Knauf Vietnam has started to supply the Vietnamese market with high quality gypsumboard products such as StandardShield, MoistShield and FireShield, we are also supplying the market with Knauf AMF mineral fiber ceiling tiles and both products have received positive customer feedback. Knauf Vietnam are pleased to see a number of Architects and Contractors choosing Knauf products for their various industrial, commercial and residential projects. Regarding Knauf distribution, Mr David Victor Thomas – General Director of Knauf Vietnam said: “We are currently building the foundations for our business and our channel to the market is one of the most critical aspects of our business. The strategic decision to select J&J as our Southern distributor was based on a similar approach to the market and the belief J&J, like Knauf, will grow into a market leader in the Vietnam building material industry. The selection of J&J as our Southern distributor will strengthen our nationwide coverage and help us to promote the Knauf brand and our broad range of products and systems. Mr David also said: “We are well advanced in the construction of our new gypsumboard plant in Hai Phong and we expect to be producing gypsumboard locally within 2015. Our new plant will produce 20M m2 per year so it is essential we have our nationwide distribution network in place to enable us to supply the Vietnam market effectively”.
