PVD Training: Optimal Solutions to Human Resources Development for Businesses

 

Set up in 2007, PVD Training is a member company of PetroVietnam Drilling & Well Service Corporation (PV Drilling) and a specialist in three fields: training and certification, manpower development solutions, and safety technical services like safety equipment, testing and maintenance services in accordance with regulations of Vietnam Register and global industrial regulations as ABS, DNV, BV and Lloyds.

 

PVD Training not only provides basic training but also focuses on professional practice, soft skills training and professional capacity building for workers short of practical experience. Besides, PVD Training also offers a lot of expertise training solutions for a variety of customers. In addition to full-time training at its establishments, PVD Training also deploys and applies new training solutions like online training, in-situ training, and on-platform training, thus offering flexible, cost-effective and time-saving training methods for businesses.

Specifically, PVD Training has been applied OPITO (Offshore Petroleum Industry Training Organisation) standards to offshore petroleum technical safety training, IWCF (International Well Control Forum) standards to advanced oil and gas well-site control training. OPITO is a world-leading certification organisation of safety training, especially offshore petroleum safety training. It is a prestigious organisation with strong influences on other industries worldwide. PVD Drilling has faced lots of difficulties in building management systems, training personnel, constructing facilities and creating training materials according to international OPITO and IWCF standards because of their strict requirements. But, with its strong efforts and determinations, PVD Training became the first training unit in Vietnam to be certified by OPITO in December 2011. Up to now, PVD Training has over 10 OPITO-accredited safety training courses, including T-BOSIET, T-HUET, T-FOET, H2S, TSBB, EBS, BOSIET, HUET, FOET, IMIST, and Authorised Gas Testing. With firm steps on the way defined, PVD Training well-site control programme was certified by IWCF in August 2013, making PVD Training the only training centre in Vietnam to have IWCF international certification.

 

Not merely hiring and subleasing manpower, by playing on its strengths of specialised training and certification, PVD Training has a strong force of well-trained, certified human resources supplied to domestic and international recruiters and contractors.
