Vietnam Electric Cable Corporation (CADIVI) hosted a ceremony on October 4 to celebrate its 40th founding anniversary and receive the First-class Labour Order for a second time. The corporation also introduced a new brand identity at the event.
At the order-awarding ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai praised CADIVI for its results and achievements in production and business activities. The corporation was also named the “Labour hero in the innovation era” for its success in building CADIVI brand name.
He expected that, with a high sense of responsibility, solidarity, consensus and creativity in production and business of all the staff, CADIVI will continue to grow faster, more comprehensive, attain higher achievements in production and business, and contribute more to the electric cable sector of Vietnam in particular and to the cause of national industrialisation, modernisation and international economic integration in general.
Founded in 1975, CADIVI was one of the first companies to lay the foundation for electric cable industry of Vietnam. After 40 years of construction and development, the corporation has made very positive contributions to the process of national reform and socioeconomic development.
CADIVI’s products are chosen by investors of big oil and gas, hydropower, power grid, power transmission network in rural and urban areas across the country. The corporation’s products are also exported to many nations in the world. CADIVI has spared no effort to developing products and improving product models and quality.
With its endless efforts and right investment strategies, CADIVI always achieves or even exceeds assigned plans. With an average annual growth of 20-25 percent, the corporation has taken the lead in the electric cable industry by revenue growth.
The revenue was VND267 billion and the profit before tax was VND6.3 billion in 1987 but the respective values jumped to VND5,386 billion and VND160 billion in 2014. The company also pioneers in applying world’s most advanced scientific and technological progress to production.
With its outstanding business and production results and achievements, CADIVI was honoured with many titles and awards from the Party and the State, including Labour Hero in the Renovation Period, Second-class Independence Order, First-class Labour Order and Victory Order.
