In the past years, along with the vibrant economic development pace of Binh Phuoc province, VNPT Binh Phuoc has strived to accompany agencies and enterprises in the province to expand information technology (IT) application in State management, enterprise management and business operation administration. As a leading telecom - IT firm, VNPT Binh Phuoc’s products and services have become increasingly necessary and useful to the community and become an important cornerstone in socioeconomic development. The branch is also importantly helping raise the provincial competitiveness index (PCI) and the Information, Communication and Technology Index (ICT Index) of Binh Phuoc province.
Currently, VNPT Binh Phuoc is one of leading telecom - IT service providers in Binh Phuoc province. Vinaphone mobile network, fibre-optic cable network and internet network of the branch have extended to every corner in the province, even in remote areas; ensured communications of all-tier Party and government agencies as well as national defence and security information in Binh Phuoc; and served people’s communication demands in the province. The specialised data transmission network has been invested and deployed with multiple services for leadership and administration such as electronic office and video-conferencing, thus creating a new step in applying IT to serve management, reduce costs and help the province achieve sustainable socioeconomic development.
In education and training field, VNPT Binh Phuoc and the Binh Phuoc Department of Education and Training signed a cooperation agreement on deployment of some IT products to serve management works such as vnEdu Vietnam education network software, electronic office software, and electronic education portal. After many years of development, the vnEdu Vietnam software has relatively complete management features for all levels from school to district and provincial education agencies, thus enabling the formation of a unified education information management system. With the integration of major advantages piloted by many schools in the province, in the 2015-2016 academic year, the Binh Phuoc Department of Education and Training chose to deploy the vnEdu Vietnam software across the education sector. Currently, all the schools in the province are using the vnEdu Vietnam software for their management work.
VNPT Binh Phuoc has actively piloted the electronic office software in many units in the province of Binh Phuoc. As a network-based document management and operation system, the electronic office software is seen as a useful, excellent and rapid solution to manage operations of a unit.
VNPT Binh Phuoc has also applied solutions to upgrade websites and electronic information pages of some units into electronic portals and constituent information portals as guided by the Binh Phuoc Provincial People’s Committee. The upgrade and integration of constituent information portals of some units into the province’s Electronic Portal by a single vendor not only ensures brand reputation and continued investment projects but also helps improve the operating performance of applications on the network and serve the highest information needs of the whole society. These works also entail more personnel and equipment for IT development.
In the health field, VNPT Binh Phuoc piloted the deployment VNPT-HIS hospital management software in Dong Phu General Hospital and Dong Phu Medical Centre and formally put into use in September 2015. The deployment of VNPT-HIS software will actively support the health sector to provide comprehensive healthcare for patients, share and connect patient medical data among hospitals in a flexible and accurate way.
In addition to the multifunctional and multi-utility software, VNPT Binh Phuoc also provides electronic mailbox services and IT service leasing for agencies and organisations in the province and coordinates with various departments and units across the province to implement an electronic single-window system to computerise administrative procedures in State agencies and publicly disclose administrative procedures and document status to enable citizens to submit documents online.
VNPT Binh Phuoc Director Pham Van Trinh said that in addition to maintaining effective operations in the past years, VNPT Binh Phuoc will continue to accompany State agencies and local enterprises to deploy necessary application software to help them ensure intercommunication and inter-coordination among agencies and organisations across the province in order to inherit, aggregate and report data. Besides, VNPT will continue to study preferential telecom - IT service charge policies for specific users, build new telecom - IT applications to meet the demand of local customers, enhance cooperation in other fields such as telecom - IT human resource training, information security and telecom - IT infrastructure.
