On November 29, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha endorsed Decision 1492/QD-TTg, which approves the master plan for Mang Den Tourist Area in Kon Plong district, Kon Tum province, until 2045.
This initiative is designed to elevate Mang Den into a premier national ecotourism destination, positioning tourism as an economic driver crucial for the nation's social and economic development.
The master plan is centered on developing the Mang Den tourist area in accordance with both national and international standards, placing substantial emphasis on harnessing climate characteristics, natural landscapes and traditional culture. Commitments to ecological preservation and proactive responses to climate change are integral components of the plan.
Furthermore, the plan underscores priorities such as ensuring security, defense, poverty reduction, and the improvement of the material and spiritual well-being of the local populace. The preservation and promotion of cultural and historical heritage values are fundamental aspects of this strategy.
The ultimate objective is to transform Mang Den into a national and regional hub for tourism, resorts, and culture by 2045. To realize this vision, the plan advocates the exploration of an eco-tourism model and the establishment of synchronized, modern spatial infrastructure. Key elements include spatial development control for primary tourist centers, management of satellite attractions, and consideration of population density, all highlighted within the ambit of the plan.
