On the evening of November 6, at the Dan Phuong District Culture - Information and Sports Center, the Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Rural Development coordinated with the Dan Phuong District People's Committee to organize the 2024 Craft Village and Safe Agricultural Products Fair in Hanoi.

The fair was held for 4 days, from November 6 to 9, with more than 80 booths, more than 1,000 craft village and agricultural products, safe food, OCOP products (One Commune One Product Program) and exhibition areas for experiencing craft village tourism, OCOP products associated with agriculture, rural areas, and new rural construction. Booth owners participating in the fair came from districts, towns, and cities in Hanoi and 21 provinces and cities in the country.
Speaking at the fair, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Rural Development Nguyen Dinh Hoa said that this is a practical event to celebrate the major holidays of the country and the city in 2024 and the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.

The fair is an opportunity for entities, businesses, and production households to strengthen trade connections, promote and trade, especially bringing products to e-commerce platforms, distribution systems, shopping centers, supermarkets, etc. This is also an opportunity for entities, businesses and the community to exchange experiences in organizing production, building brands, digital transformation, etc., contributing to increasing the added value of products and developing sustainable agricultural value chains.

The fair also has an important meaning, making a practical contribution to the economic development of rural areas; preserving and developing craft villages and the New Rural Development Program in localities. At the same time, promote the campaign for Vietnamese people to prioritize using Vietnamese products. Hanoi currently has 1,350 craft villages and villages with crafts; of which 334 craft villages, traditional crafts and traditional craft villages are recognized by the City People's Committee. The city also has 1,090 active agricultural cooperatives; 1,695 farms; 149 production and consumption chains; more than 164 high-tech application models; more than 13,000 agricultural, forestry and fishery products have been granted traceability codes (QRCode); 2,756 OCOP products. In particular, Hanoi and 43 provinces and cities across the country have proactively and actively maintained and supported the development of 977 safe food supply chains for Hanoi.
