VCCI, Oracle Join Hands to Boost ICT Application in Businesses

VCCI has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Oracle Vietnam on February 17, marking a commitment between the two organizations to improve the application of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to all Vietnamese business and to support Vietnam’s local ICT industry.
 
The MOU will help to support the VCCI’s five-year program (2006 – 2010) to promote better IT applications to Vietnam businesses and to improve the capability of Vietnamese IT companies to better serve the IT needs of general businesses.
 
“Information and Communication Technology plays an important role in supporting businesses of all sizes in Vietnam to be more effective and competitive in today’s business environment,” said Mr Nguyen Van Thao, Deputy Secretary General of VCCI. “The co-operation and expertise of world-class IT companies like Oracle is an important part of the VCCI’s efforts to help Vietnamese businesses prepare for the future, and to succeed.”
 
Mr Ho Thanh Tung, General Director of Indochina region of Oracle Corporation added “We are confident that Oracle will strengthen our position in the local market in term of helping Vietnam business community for their IT applications into business”
 
Through the various activities and initiatives identified in the MoU, Oracle and VCCI will help Vietnamese companies raise awareness on the importance of ICT as a vital tool to increase businesses effectiveness and competitiveness.
