Economic development focus

With a favorable geographic location, abundant land and forest resources, and the rich cultural heritage of its ethnic communities, Na Sang has significant economic potential.

From 2020 to 2025, the local economy shifted in the right direction, closely linked to agricultural restructuring and commodity development. High-value crops such as rubber, macadamia, cinnamon, and tall tea trees have been stably cultivated, with seven OCOP products achieving three-star certification. Investment in production, processing, and distribution of agricultural products has been actively promoted, along with value chain-linked models.

Industry, handicrafts, trade, and services have also grown, bringing local specialties such as Na Sang pineapples, dried buffalo meat, and sausages to e-commerce platforms. Total local budget revenue reached VND215 billion. Economic and social infrastructure continued to receive investment, with roads, electricity, and clean water largely meeting residents’ needs.

The implementation of three national target programs has clearly improved local living standards. The Socio-Economic Development Program for Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas, with a total capital of more than VND100 billion and nearly 99% disbursement, focused on 17 projects and 11 key sub-projects. The New Rural Development Program achieved positive results, completing 16 of 19 criteria, with 11 villages meeting new rural standards and an average of nine criteria per village. The multidimensional poverty rate fell to below 29%, averaging over 4% reduction per year.

Alongside economic growth, cultural and social sectors received attention and investment. Healthcare and medical services were effectively delivered, with efficient patient triage and screening.

According to Tran Hong Quan, Chairman of the Na Sang People’s Committee, the commune is steadily advancing on its path of renewal. The merger of former Muong Cha town with the former communes of Ma Thi Ho, Sa Long, and Na Sang has created a new Na Sang, combining unique cultural values with strong development potential.

Aiming for new rural standards by 2030

From 2025 to 2030, Na Sang will focus on sustainable agricultural and forestry development, linked to forest protection and income improvement. The commune plans to form concentrated commodity production areas, attract business investment, develop value chain-based production, and move toward organic agriculture. Priority will be given to essential infrastructure such as transportation, irrigation, and clean water, particularly in highland and border villages.

Cultural, educational, and healthcare sectors will continue to develop in a coordinated manner, integrating vocational training with job creation. National defense and security will remain firmly maintained. The commune aims to achieve new rural standards by 2030.

Going forward, Na Sang will continue to promote rapid and sustainable agricultural and forestry development, creating concentrated production areas that meet market demand and food safety standards. Efforts will focus on attracting businesses to invest in agriculture and forestry, building organic and sustainable production zones.

The strategic breakthrough is the restructuring of agriculture for efficiency and sustainability, with a focus on key crops such as tea, macadamia, coffee, rubber, and pineapple, while developing large raw material areas linked to local processing. The commune will also advance the application of science and technology, digital transformation across sectors, enhance workforce quality, and invest in major irrigation works to support agriculture and climate adaptation.

With the spirit of “Solidarity - Discipline - Breakthrough - Development,” the Party, government, and ethnic communities in Na Sang continue to uphold their tradition of unity, proactively overcome difficulties and challenges, and work together to successfully achieve set goals, confidently advancing alongside other localities in the nation’s era of growth.
