At the recent meeting at VCCI headquarters between VCCI Vice President Nguyen Quang Vinh and Chen Lishan, Senior Manager of the Corporate Banking Department at Bank of China (BOC), BOC representatives proposed key cooperation initiatives to promote investment and trade links between the two countries.

BOC proposed supporting Chinese businesses investing in Vietnam by connecting them directly with industrial parks in the country, while also helping Vietnamese businesses invest in China and expand trade there. BOC also proposed jointly organizing events and seminars in Vietnam to assess the practical needs of the business community. By connecting financial, human resources and legal experts, BOC expects to provide information and comprehensive support to Vietnamese businesses.

Chen Lishan said BOC, the first Chinese-funded bank to open a branch in Ho Chi Minh City in 1995, expected to strengthen its engagement, expand business ties and promote cooperation between the two countries.

According to VCCI Vice President Nguyen Quang Vinh, Chinese investment in Vietnam is progressing well, supported by positive government policies. Appreciating the strong existing relationships with Chinese associations and businesses, he affirmed that VCCI would continue close cooperation with Chinese partners and BOC to facilitate business connections on both sides and establish a two-way bridge between Chinese and Vietnamese businesses.

In the coming period, VCCI and BOC will develop detailed cooperation plans for specific sectors and implement joint programs through events, specialized seminars and business training activities.
