Vietnam-Egypt Trade Meeting Opens in Haiphong Mid This Month
The Vietnam-Egypt Trade Promotion Meeting will open in the coastal city of Haiphong on June 16 in order to boost commercial cooperation between Vietnam and the African country.
During the conference, representatives from the two countries will introduce each other’s policies on trade, investment and tourism to their partner’s businesses circles.
The meeting will be co-organized by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and the Egyptian Embassy.
March this year, the Vietnam-Egypt Joint Committee organized its second conference in Hanoi to address such cooperation.
Egypt was the first country of the Arab world to establish diplomatic relations with Vietnam in September 1963. Earlier in 1958, the Arabian country opened its trade representative office in Vietnam.
The two-way trade between the two countries stood at US$39.2 million in 2004.
