Genting Highlands Resort: Great Impression of Malaysia's Highlands

Vietnam is a major tourist market for Malaysia's Highlands in the coming year, said a representative from the Malaysia Tourism Promotion Agency at a seminar on updating the latest information about Malaysian tourism and new products of Genting Corporation on Dec 4th in Hanoi.

 According to Mr Lee Meng, Genting’s Manager Thailand and Chief Representative in Vietnam, over 18 million visitors, both international and local visitors to Genting, visit Genting each year. The number of Vietnamese tourists to Genting in the first ten months of year 2006 hit a record high of 38.000, up 90 per cent over 2005.
 
In conjunction with Malaysia ‘s 50th Anniversary and in support of the Visit Malaysia Year 2007, Genting Highlands Resort announced that it will be bringing over 50 signature shows and events to its patrons up at the resort.
 
Mr Lee Meng said: Malaysian government’s initiative on Visit Malaysia Year 2007 has led to an overall industry upgrade. In preparation for this special event and to cater to the anticipated increase in visitors to Genting Highlands, Genting has spruced up and added new facilities and attractions.  The resort has lined up exciting events such as the International Lion Dance Competition, the top notch Michelin Star Chefs, World Gourmet Festival…
