Showroom for Garment and Footwear Export

In late March 2007, a showroom for exported garment and footwear was opened, Vietnamese Export Goods Showroom at 92-96 Nguyen Hue Street, District 1, in Ho Chi Minh City. The Ho Chi Minh City Investment and Trade Promotion Centre (ITPC), the Ho Chi Minh City Association of Textile, Garment, Embroidery and Knitting (AGTEX) and Ho Chi Minh City Leather and Shoes Association (SLA) jointly opened the showroom, which will be closed on June 30, 2007.

 

The exhibits are latest models for North America, Europe, Northeast Asia and other target markets. The showroom hopes to boost market expansion and product diversification for the two key industries of leather-footwear and garment-textile.

 

Export goods showrooms have been put into operation by ITPC since July 20, 2004. So far, this showroom brought 53 contracts with a combined value of US$4.63 million, mainly from the US, Canada, Japan and Eastern Europe.
