Vietnam Ranks 7th Most Profitable Retail Market

The global research firm (RNCOS) affirmed that, with the 7thranking profitable market in the world, Vietnam is most attractive, and domestic and foreign distributors are scrambling for market share.

According to the report, most leading producers and distributors in the world are present in Vietnam, for instance, Metro Cash and Carry of German now has 8 supermarkets with USD 500 million net income per year and a 45 per cent annual growth rate.

The economic specialists of RNCOS foresee that in coming years, there will be a mass of foreign retail distributors pouring capital into Vietnam. This report shows that Vietnamese retail market growth, now ranking only after China and India, will increase faster than any country in the world.
