25 Vietnamese Enterprises to Survey Russian Market
A delegation of 25 Vietnamese businesses will tour Russia next month to explore the foreign market to boost bilateral invest and trade ties, state media reported.
The tour slated from August 13-20 will include enterprises operating in garment and textile, plastics, chemicals, engineering, seafood, foodstuff, traditional handicrafts, tourism and many others.
During the visit, the delegation will meet with the Vietnamese community in Russia to discuss cooperation in order to seek more outlets for Vietnamese products.
The trip is co-organized by the Vietnamese Embassy in Russia, the Committee for Overseas Vietnamese, the Association of Vietnamese Enterprises in Russia and some others.
Among 25 are local companies like Viet Tien Garment Company, Saigon Seafood Import Export Company and Cholon Investment and Import Export Company (CHOLIMEX) will join in the delegation.
The dead line for the registration is July 12.
Two-way trade between Vietnam and Russia was estimated at US$1.02 billion in 2005, up 15 per cent over 2004, including US$252 million worth of Vietnam’s exports and US$768 million worth of imports, resulting in trade deficit of US$516 million.
Vietnam-Russia bilateral trade is expected to reach 2-3 billion in 2010, up 1.8-2.7 times against 2005. (Saigon Liberated)
